18-year-old South African wicketkeeper and batsman Luan Dre Pretorius has quickly reached a point where he may soon join the South African national team.
Playing for Pearl Royals in the 2025 SA Twenty20, an international franchise of Rajasthan Royals in India, Luan dre Pretorius made his debut against Saritsers Eastern Cape, batting at a strike rate of over 190, scoring 97 runs and helping Pearl Royals win the match by 9 wickets.
Luan Dre Pretoria scored 287 runs at an average of 57.40 and a strike rate of 94.09 in the 2024 Under-19 World Cup against the Proteas, including 3 half-centuries.
He was the highest run-getter in the tournament and scored 3 consecutive half-centuries.
