Some players were replaced early, some due to injuries, some due to personal reasons.Â

Harry Brook (Delhi capital):
England’s top-order batsman Harry Brock withdrew from the national team. Later, the IPL Governing Council ruled that players who leave the league for any reason other than injury will be banned for two years, which is what Delhi Capitals’ middle-order batsman Harry Brock did during the 2024 IPL season.

29-year-old Brydon Carse was ruled out of the IPL after he suffered a broken toe while playing against Australia in the ICC Champions Trophy, for which he was bought by SUNRISERS Hyderabad for Rs 1 crore in this year’s auction. However, Brydon Carse has now been replaced by South African Wien Mulder, who joined the franchise for just Rs 75 lakh.Â

South African fast bowler Lizard Williams will not be able to play in IPL 2025 due to injury, Mumbai Indians bought him for just 75 lakhs in the auction and his countryman Corbin Bosh, who previously played as a net bowler for Rajasthan Royals, has been brought in as his replacement.

ALLAH GHAZANFAR Due to injury in ICC Champions Trophy, this Afghan player was dropped from IPL 2025. He was bought for 8.40 crores in mega auction but now his country’s Mujeeb Ur Rahman is joining. Mumbai has taken only 2 crores in IPL 2025 and has joined the franchise.
